Death Of North Austin Elderly Couple Ruled Murder-Suicide
Police believe Ernest Locker, 76, shot and killed his wife, Kathryn Locker, 76, before taking his own life on Tuesday night.

NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — Police on Wednesday revealed they are investigating the death of an elderly couple in North Austin the previous night as a murder-suicide.
In a press advisory, police said they received a call from the daughter of the septuagenarian couple, who was concerned about their welfare after not hearing from them since Sunday. Police arrived at the couple's home at 5604 Palisade Court on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 11:24 p.m., and found the couple dead in their bed with obvious trauma to their bodies.
Police believe Ernest Locker, 76, shot and killed his wife, Kathryn Locker, 76, before killing himself. The woman sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back while the man died from what appears to have been a self-inflicted wound to the chest, according to police.
