More Details on Pflugerville-area Shooting Emerge UPDATE

Sheriff's Office says two teens were shot, one still in critical condition.

NORTH AUSTIN-PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- The Travis County Sheriff’s Office has released more details related to the shooting of a teenager in Pflugerville Sunday night.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call in the 1600 block of Lady Grey Avenue in the northern part of the county after reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival, they found a male teenager lying on the street with gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a Round Rock hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. He was last reported to be in critical condition.

A few minutes later, a second teenager was located receiving treatment at a local emergency center for a minor gunshot wound. After being medically treated, he was taken to the sheriff’s office for questioning.

A resulting investigation revealed that a group of young men had met in the street and got into some sort of altercation. At least two young mean produced weapons and begin firing.

Sheriff officials said the disturbance was isolated to those gathered, and the neighborhood itself was in no danger.

An investigation into the matter is continuing. But because it involve juvenile suspects, officials said, no detailed information as to the identities of those involved is expected.
