Driver Killed After Crashing Into Pole In North Austin
According to medics, the incident occurred along the 9000 block of Research Boulevard Friday evening, just before 8 p.m.

NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A man was killed Thursday night after reportedly crashing his vehicle into a pole in North Austin, according to reports.
The crash occurred just before 8 p.m. along the 9000 block of Research Boulevard, according to Austin-Travis County EMS officials. Motorists were urged to avoid the area in the wreck's immediate aftermath given the presence of police detectives investigating the scene.
EMS officials didn't specify the approximate age of the dead driver as they customarily do, describing him solely as an adult male. No further details were given.
