Driver Runs Red Light, Strikes School Bus Carrying Children In North Austin
The two children on the bus at the time emerged unscathed, but the drivers of the pickup truck and school bus sustained minor injuries.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A motorist driving a truck hit a school bus carrying two students in the northwest part of Austin on Wednesday morning, according to a published report.
An Austin ISDspokesperson told the Austin American-Statesman the driver of the pickup truck ran a red light shortly after 6:30 a.m. at the corner of the U.S. 290 service road and Cameron Road. The two student on the bus at the time were uninjured, while the two drivers were taken to St. David's Medical Center in downtown Austin for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
According to medics with the Austin-Travis County EMS, a total five adults and two children were involved in the collision. Of those, a pair each of adults and children were on the school bus at the time.
