Missing North Austin Woman Found Safe (Updated)

91-year-old Jean Moseley, 91, had last been seen leaving the Brookdale North Austin Assisted Living Facility on Wednesday night.

UPDATE: A 91-year-old woman who was the subject of a search after leaving an assisted living facility in North Austin has been found safe, police said late Thursday morning.

Jean Moseley, 91, had last been seen leaving the Brookdale North Austin Living Facility on Wednesday evening, according to police. A plea subsequently was issued to solicit help from the public in finding the woman, whose medical conditions served to exacerbate concern.

By shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, police reported the woman was found safe and sound.

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in locating a missing elderly woman last seen walking out of an assisted living facility.

Police on Thursday issued a plea for help in finding Jean Moseley, 91, who was last seen on video on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at around 8 p.m. walking out of the Brookdale North Austin Assisted Living Facility where she lives. Moseley's health conditions heighten concern over her welfare, police noted.

Moseley is described as a Caucasian woman standing four feet, eleven inches in height and weighing 110 pounds. She has short white hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeve button down shirt, black or dark-colored pants, white shoes and glasses. Police released images of Moseley in the hopes someone might recognize her and alert officials as to her whereabouts.
