Emailed Bomb Threat Prompts Austin Courts Evacuation
Unspecified threat was made overnight to various facilities, but police found no credible threat following a sweep of the buildings.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — The Austin Municipal Court and Community Court were evacuated Monday morning after someone called in a bomb threat, police said.
By mid-morning, the buildings had been cleared after a sweep uncovered no threat. "The APD Bomb Squad has completed a sweep and cleared affected facilities," Austin police wrote in a tweet just before 10:30 a.m.
The threats were made to Texas State University, the University of Texas at Austin and the City of Austin, according to officials.
In a separate tweet about an hour before, officials said the threat was non-specific in nature, but no credible threats subsequently were identified. University of Texas police said also confirmed they had received an unspecified threat on Monday morning, prompting them to issue warnings to the public.
Austin police said the bomb threat was made via email overnight on Monday.
