Expansion-Minded Telecommunications Firm TesCom Relocating Headquarters To Pflugerville
The move comes after an award of $25,000 that will enable the company to enhances its local operations.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville Community Development Corp. officials announced Wednesday that telecommunications company TesCom will relocate its national headquarters to the city as it expands, ultimately creating more than 40 local jobs.
The corporate move comes in the wake of a Nov. 17 PCDC board of directors approval of a $25,000 grant for the company. TesCom officials said the grant will enable company expansion with creation of 33 full-time jobs within a year and 42 jobs in five years.
“We are pleased to be able to provide space for an established, successful, locally owned business to grow in Pflugerville,” PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said in a prepared statement. “The investments and improvements TesCom is making to the existing building is great for our community, and the high-quality, high-tech jobs with benefits are fantastic to keep in our region.”

TesCom is relocating into an existing building at 20200 Algreg St., according to city officials. The grant from the PCDC will be used for electric utility upgrades and additional relocation costs, company officials said.
Established in 1982, TesCom is a privately held business previously located in the Austin extra-territorial jurisdiction. The company manufactures, designs, repairs and calibrates telecommunications test equipment, GPS timing systems, general lab equipment, and drone workflow management software. The company’s primary customers are major telecom firms, including AT&T.

TesCom’s current staff of more than 50 employees across the U.S. includes 33 currently located in the Austin area, officials said. Within a year, four jobs will be relocated from California to Pflugerville while other jobs nationally will be consolidated into its national headquarters within the next five years.
