Firefighters Battle Big Blaze At NW Austin Apartment Complex
Heavy fire reported Christmas Day at the International Residence Apartments at 9811 Copper Creek Dr.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Firefighters fought a heavy fire on Christmas Day at a Northwest Austin apartment complex, officials said.
By 11 a.m. or so, the blaze had consumed Building 9 of the International Residence Apartments at 9811 Copper Creek Dr. Firefighters described the conflagration as "heavily involved" via Twitter as they fought to bring it under control Monday afternoon.
Fire officials noted a large fire broke out at the same apartment complex back in 2012. Patch will update this story as more details are made available.
