Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations At Pflugerville Mobile Home Park
Fire, utility and police officials descended to 900 block of Broken Feather Trail where a ruptured gas line prompted several evacuations.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A broken gas line at a Pflugerville mobile home park prompted the evacuation of several residents late Wednesday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred at around 10:40 a.m. in the southeast corner of the Chisholm Point mobile home park, 900 Broken Feather Trail. About eight trailer homes in the mobile home park and up to eight other homes along the adjacent 14900 block of Antique Finish Drive were evacuated as a precaution, a city spokeswoman said.
Atmos Energy and the Pflugerville Fire Department were at the scene to contain the leak, the spokeswoman said, with ancillary assistance from the Pflugerville Police Department. By 12:30 p.m., residents who had been evacuated were let back into their homes, city spokeswoman Maggie Holman updated in an email: "Previously evacuated residents are cleared to return to their homes," she wrote. "Repair crews are currently on scene making necessary repairs."
