Gravel Truck Driver Hurt In North Austin Rollover Crash
Friday morning incident along Texas 45 near the intersection with U.S. 183 just before left driver pinned to vehicle, medics said.
AUSTIN, TX — A gravel truck driver was hospitalized on Friday after a rollover crash in the northwest part of the city, officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS medics said the incident occurred along Texas 45 near the intersection with U.S. 183 just before 7:40 a.m. Medics said the crash victim was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated from the wreckage before being transported to St. David's Round Rock with injuries not deemed life-threatening.
According to the Williamson County sheriff’s office, the gravel truck rollover happened near a toll booth along eastbound lanes of Texas 45. The sheriff's office alerted drivers to at least three blocked lanes as a result of the crash.
