2 Shootings In Austin Leave 1 Dead, Others Injured
Police responded to two separate scenes of gun violence on Saturday, including North Austin incident resulting in a young man's death.

AUSTIN, TX — Emergency workers responded to two separate incidents of gunfire within minutes of each other on Saturday afternoon, including one that left a man dead.
The first incident occurred just before 5 p.m. along the 1700 block of Saracen Road in the western portion of Travis County, where a man in his 20s was rushed to South Austin Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries. A male teenager also was hospitalized in the incident but with injuries considered minor.
Just 10 minutes later in North Austin, another incident involving gun play occurred at the 1070 block of Mearns Meadow Boulevard in North Austin. Austin-Travis County EMS medics found a victim suffering from gunshot wounds at the location, and immediately implemented life-saving measures to no avail as the man in his 20s hit by bullets was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
