Hawaiian Falls Folks Launch 'Friday Palooza Family Friendly Friday Nights'

Pflugerville, TX -- Hawaiian Falls officials have launched their "Friday Palooza Family Friendly Friday Nights."

Quite simply, this means that the amusement park will open for extended hours, until July 29. Normally, the park stays open until 6 p.m. daily.

The "palooza" part refers not just to the extended hours, but the the spectacular fireworks slated for July 22 and "dive-in movies" featured by the wave pool each Friday. The palooza part actually began July 8, but you still have three more Fridays to partake.

"The fireworks and movies are included free as part of the benefits of purchasing a regular daily admission ticket or entering with your season pass on Fridays this month," officials said in an email. "Friday Palooza activities will begin around 8 p.m. each week."

Clint Hill, Hawaiian Falls president and CEO noted that the waterpark fun takes on different and interesting nuances than the tradition daytime visit.

“The waterparks take on a whole new character after dark,” Hill said. “Floating in a tube on a hot summer night while enjoying fireworks, a fun movie or listening to some great tunes together as a family is just magical. We’ve made our Hawaiian Falls Families’ Friday nights bigger and better than ever.”
Fireworks will be reprise on July 22 after being featured on the first day of the palooza July 8. The movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be shown by the wave pool July 15, and Inside Out will be shown July 29.

Glow-in-the-dark items will also be available for purchase, officials noted.

All six Hawaiian Falls waterparks will hold Friday Palooza events during July with various activities scheduled. Season passes are valid at all six waterparks, so season passholders can choose any park for their choice of Friday night entertainment.
