High Water Prompts Pflugerville Road Closure Amid Heavy Rain
Police alert residents to avoid Pecan Street as region is hit by second straight day of heavy rain on Sunday. and flood warning is issued.

PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS — A long stretch of East Pecan Street was closed off to traffic on Sunday due to high water as the region was hit with heavy rain for the second straight day.
Police alerted residents via their text messaging system to avoid the key artery from the 900 block to the 2500 block of the roadway. "Please turn around, and don't drown," police added in their text. Later, East Pecan from FM 685 to SH 130 was reopened.
Travis and Bastrop counties were under a flash flood warning amid non-stop rain that began on Saturday. For a list of low-water crossings in the area, consult ATXfloods.com. As of 9:30 a.m., 66 low-water crossings had been closed, according to the website.
