Homeless Encampment Bursts Into Flames In North Austin
The blaze was ignited at a homeless camp underneath the eastbound frontage road of Anderson Lane between Interstate 35 and Cameron Road.
AUSTIN, TX — Fire officials extinguished a large fire at a homeless encampment in North Austin on Monday morning.
Austin Fire Department officials wrote about the fire just after 9 am., saying the blaze broke out at a homeless camp underneath the eastbound frontage road of Anderson Lane between Interstate 35 and Cameron Road.
"The area is VERY congested," fire officials wrote. "The fire is knocked down and there have been no injuries."

It's unclear what may have caused the conflagration.
