I-35 N. Austin Portion Reopened Following Pedestrian's Death
Person attempting to cross I-35 at the site near U.S. 290 was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler early Monday morning just before 4:30 a.m.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Northbound lanes of Interstate 35 were reopened Monday morning after a collision that left a pedestrian dead earlier in the day, according to officials.
Texas Department of Transportation officials said access at the site near U.S. 290 have resumed albeit with "big delays" in traffic.
A pedestrian attempting to cross I-35 at the site was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler early Monday morning just before 4:30 a.m., according to Austin police. For the next couple of hours following the incident, traffic was being dehe incident happened just before 4:30 a.m. but traffic delays remain.
As of 6 a.m., the northbound lanes of I-35 near U.S. 290 are mostly closed and traffic was exiting at 51st Street, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials.
