Krispy Kreme Celebrates Birthday Friday With $1 A Dozen Deal
To honor its 81st year in business, the pastry chain will offer 12 glazed doughnuts for a buck for those buying one dozen at regular price.
AUSTIN, TX — This Friday, you'll be able to get your doughnut on. Like, really on.
To celebrate its birthday, Krispy Kreme will be offering customers buying a dozen of its classic glazed doughnuts at regular price a second dozen for just $1 at participating stores. The birthday special will be offered at all Krispy Kreme stores in the U.S. and Canada as first announced via Twitter with the help of NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal.
In addition to the $1-a-dozen deal, Krispy Kreme is releasing a new Glazed Confetti Doughnut in commemorating its 81st year in existence. The special doughnut will only be available from Friday through Aug. 2.

There are two Krispy Kreme stores in Austin at 12586 Research Blvd. and 701 E. Stassney Lane.
In neighboring San Marcos, there's a Krispy Kreme at 121 North Interstate 35. And in San Antonio, there are four: 12238 Interstate 10; 2703 S.E. Military Dr.; 8815 Potranco Rd.; and 1117 North FM 1604 East.
