Lake Pflugerville Reopening Slated For Discussion
Pflugerville City Council members are scheduled to convene remotely for a May 21 special meeting to discuss the possible lake reopening.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville City Council members have scheduled a remote special meeting to discuss the possible reopening of Lake Pflugerville, officials said on Monday.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday (May 21) at 6 p.m. The lake has been closed in adherence to physical distancing guidelines seen as an effective tactic in blunting the spread of an illness for which there is no vaccine.
On a related front, officials said all changes to city services and facility access will be posted at pflugervilletx.gov/reopen. The telephone and video meeting will be hosted through WebEx. Residents are able to listen and watch the meeting in the following ways:

- Via WebEx: Register for the meeting at https://pflugervilletx.webex.com/pflugervilletx/onstage/g.php?MTID=e784c7cb5f36c96e4f891aaeed6ae844a (Access Code: 967 644 092).
- Via telephone: Call 1-408-418-9388 (U.S. Toll) for listen-only mode.
- Via PfTV: Watch live at pflugervilletx.gov/pftv or the City’s Public Access Channel 17.
City officials outlined a series of conditions that must be met for residents' participation:
- Public comment will only be allowed via telephone or video conference on WebEx.
- All speakers must register to speak at least two hours in advance of the meeting.
- All public comment will occur at the beginning of the meeting under the public comment item.
- Speakers must call in at least 15 minutes prior to the meeting start in order to speak.
- Written comments may also be submitted two hours in advance of the meeting.
- To register to speak or to submit written comments, please email citysecretary@pflugervilletx.gov.
An audio recording of the virtual meeting will be made available subsequent to the meeting in accordance with the Open Meetings Act upon written request, officials said.
