Likely Homicide Victim Found In Northeast Austin

The man in his late 30s had obvious trauma when police reported to the scene at about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

AUSTIN, TX -- Police said the body of a man found dead overnight on Sunday is the city's latest homicide victim.

The man's body was found on a sidewalk outside the Paddock at Norwood apartment complex in Northeast Austin.

The call to police came in at about 1:30 a.m. When police arrived, they found the victim had signs of obvious trauma. The deceased man is said to be in his late 30s.

No one is in custody, but police don't believe the public is in danger. Both men are believed to have known each other.
