- The city of Pflugerville recently announced a new e-Resource called "LOTE Online for Kids," which stands for "Languages Other Than English Online for Kids." The service "offers over 1,350 digital books for children in over 45 languages" including Arabic, Vietnamese and more. - The Pflugerville Public Library recently received "a 2021 TMLDA Achievement of Excellence in Libraries Award" for the 11th (9th consecutive time). The city's library is one of only 59 libraries who have earned the award this year. - If you are looking for a pet, the North Austin-Pflugerville area has several animal shelters that have pets for adoption. "According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, over 6 million pets and other companion animals are surrendered to animal shelters each year nationwide," but unfortunately only about half are adopted.
