Man Arrested In North Austin After 4-Hour Standoff With Police

Incident began at around 1 a.m. along the 6500 block of Sans Souci Cove.

AUSTIN, TX — A man was arrested early Tuesday after a four-hour-standoff with police early Tuesday, according to a published report.

The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. along the 6500 block of Sans Souci Cove, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Law enforcement officials told the newspaper a woman and child were inside the home at the time of the incident, but were able to exit the home unharmed.

Concern was heightened after reports of gunfire that prompted SWAT officers to descend on the property. After finally being able to enter the home, officers found the man laying on the floor. He was detained without incident, according to the report.
