Man Found Dead In Northwest Austin

AUSTIN, TX — A man was found on the street dead of unspecified causes overnight in the northwest part of the city, police confirmed on Friday.

Police were called to the 500 block of Arnulfo Alonso Way (formerly Zilker Clubhouse Road) after a caller reported a man on the roadway with obvious injuries and not breathing. Despite first responders' abilities to render aid, the man was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m.

Police declined to identify the man citing the need to first contact his family members. He was described only as a 24-year-old white male.

An investigation into the matter continues.
