Man Found Guilty In 2015 Fatal Stabbing Of Pflugerville Cable TV Salesman
Christopher Harris said it was an intruder who killed his landlord two years ago, but two other men and DNA evidence said otherwise.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A man accused of a stabbing near Pflugerville two years ago was found guilty by a jury on Thursday, with sentencing that may call for life imprisonment to be determined Friday, according to a published report.
Christopher Harris had claimed it was not he who killed Byron Roberson, 44, but an intruder with whom he was unfamiliar, the Austin American-Statesman said. But two other men in the house where the stabbing took place — on Aug. 7 of 2015, very nearly two years to the day of the incident — said it was him.
DNA evidence — chiefly Harris' blood found on the victim's clothing — further convinced the jury as to the defendant's guilt, as outlined in the report.

The jury of four men and eight women agreed, returning the guilty verdict, as reported by the Statesman. The trial's punishment phase is scheduled on Friday, when Harris faces a life term behind bars.
At the time of the fatal stabbing, Harris was renting a room from Roberson, who was described as a gregarious cable television salesman, the newspaper noted. The victim's son, Diamond Roberson, 22, also was injured in the attack, along with a friend who had playing video games with the younger Roberson that night, the newspaper reported.
