Man Hurt In North Austin Motel Fire

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A man was injured in a North Austin motel fire Saturday night, fire officials said.

Firefighters were called to the Crossland Economy Studios, 12621 Hymeadow Dr., just before 8:30 p.m. There, emergency personnel found a man with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Despite the reported fire, the first-floor room at the motel was not damaged, officials noted. Both the Austin Fire Department and Austin police are now investigating the incident, according to officials.
