Man Jailed After Being Accused Of Stabbing His Father On Christmas Day
Jovaughny Xavier Palmer, 20, was reportedly upset one of his siblings owed him $100 and reportedly attacked his dad after he intervened.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A man in Northwest Austin stands accused of having stabbed his own father multiple times on Christmas Day, according to a newly released affidavit.
Citing the affidavit, the Austin American-Statesman reported that Jovaughny Xavier Palmer, 20, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as a result of the incident. According to jail records, he's also charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
According to investigators, Palmer was distraught that one of his siblings owed him $100. As the father arrived to settle the dispute, Palmer is alleged to have attacked him with a knife. Weakened by the loss of blood, the father was assisted by another one of his sons in keeping away from Palmer.

Palmer is now being detained at the Travis County Jail, where he was booked on Christmas Day, according to jail records. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held under a $25,000 bond on that charge. He was also assessed a second charge of assault causing bodily injury to a family member, which carries a $10,000 bond, jail records indicate.
By early Wednesday, no booking photo had been made available.
