Man Killed By Car In North Austin Left On Side Of The Road
Police responded at around 6:30 a.m. after a bicyclist reported the lifeless body determined to be victim of hit-and-run incident.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Police are investigatin a hit-and-run death after the discovery of a dead man on the side of a North Austin road early Monday, officials said.
Police responded to a call at around 6:30 a.m. after a bicyclist reported seeing a man on the side of the road along the 5700 block of Parmer Lane, according to a press advisory. It was later determined the man had been struck by a vehicle while he was either walking on the far right edge of the road or on the grass, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man did not remain on the scene, and police have no description of the car that struck the man. The victim has been identified, but police are delaying the release of his name until his family can be notified, officials said.

Detectives are currently investigating.
