Man Rescued In North Austin After Falling Down 20-Foot Trench

The male victim in his 30s sustained potentially serious injuries that were not deemed to be life-threatening.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Emergency crews rescued a man who fell down a 20-foot trench in North Austin on Thursday morning, according to medics.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials responded to the scene at 12206 Scribe Drive near Parmer Lane and North MoPac, also known as Loop 1. The man in his 30s sustained serious injuries in the fall, but his condition was not categorized as life-threatening, medics said via Twitter.

The man was transported to the Round Rock Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
