Man Shot Dead During Suspected Road Rage Incident In North Austin (Video)
Medics found mortally injured man in a CVS parking lot at 1701 E. Parmer Lane but efforts to save him proved futile.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A man was fatally shot in Northeast Austin Tuesday afternoon in what appears to have been a case of road rage, police said.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, medics responded to 1701 E. Parmer Lane near Dessau Road at about 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they spotted the mortally injured man receiving CPR, police said. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead by 4:48 p.m., according to medics.
In an impromptu press conference near the scene, a police officer told reporters two motorists reportedly had gotten into some sort of verbal confrontation, when both drivers entered a nearby CVS drug store parking lot. The police officer said the victim was found with gunshot wounds before succumbing to his injuries.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and is currently being sought. The only description police have of the suspect is a white male wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The officer urged anyone with information on the incident to call the Homicide Tip Line at (512) 477-3588.
