Man Stuck In Storm Drain Rescued In North Austin
Victim suffering from 'exhaustion' before being extricated from hole on Thursday morning was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
AUSTIN, TX — A man stuck in a storm drain was rescued Thursday morning in North Austin, medics said.
The incident occurred along the 7900 block of Brockman Street, near the intersection of Burnet Road and Anderson Lane, just before 9:30 a.m. Austin-Travis County EMS medics reported via Twitter a man in his 40s was "out of the hole" after being extricated.
The victim, who said he was suffering from "exhaustion," sustained injuries not deemed to be life-threatening, according to medics. It's unclear how the man came to be stuck in the storm drain.
