Man Killed In North Austin Shooting
Incident at the 9000 block of Galewood Drive occurred around 7:30 p.m., officials said.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A man died Tuesday night after being shot in North Austin, police said.
The incident at the 9000 block of Galewood Drive occurred at around 7:30 p.m., according to a tweet from Austin-Travis County EMS. Medics reported treating an adult male patient by administering CPR upon arrival. In a subsequent tweet, medics categorized the injuries as critical and life-threatening, and police later said the man succumbed to his injuries after arriving at Dell Seton Medical Center.
The victim is about 30 years old, officer Marie Bynum told reporters in a brief press conference. The victim did not live at the address where he was shot, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
