  1. On Saturday, Feb. 12, Mma Dima Africa Boutique opened at 401 W. Pecan St., Ste. 2B in Pflugerville. The shop, co-owned by Unyime Udosen and her partner, Uwakima Umonah, promotes small businesses in Africa and sells items sourced from Africa such as purses, clothing, fabric and accessories.   2. On Tuesday, Feb. 22, "The Pflugerville City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to allocate $1 million from the American Rescue Plan Act to small businesses." At their next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, they "will discuss how to allocate the $1 million to small businesses." Originally the remaining funds were going to be used for "utility generators, upgrades to city technology and for Downtown East projects" but "the council directed staff to focus on ideas that cannot be funded through different means, such as mental health, disaster preparedness or premium pay for police and city staff."
