More Than 1,700 Residents Without Power For Two Hours After Utility Pole Damaged
Utility officials didn't explain what may have damaged the pole, but were able to restore electricity after a couple of hours.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — More than 1,700 residents n the northwest portion of the were without power for a couple of hours following damage to a utility pole that sparked an outage.
Austin Energy utility officials issued a tweet on Saturday evening around 8 p.m. alerting to the outage. According to the tweeted update, 1,707 customers were without power due to the damaged pole at Cameron Road and Camino La Costa.
Utility officials didn't specify what may have caused the damage to the pole, only saying crews were working to restore electric power to customers as soon as possible.

The affected area of the outage was in the vicinity of Interstate 35, East U.S. 290 and East Anderson Lane. Some two hours after sending out the initial tweet, utility officials alerted they had restored full power.
