Texas Musician Lends Talents To Coax Red Kettle Donations

Country music singer Cory Morrow will be at The Domain, next to Salvation Army red kettle, on Friday to coax shoppers to give.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — If you find yourself at The Domain doing the last of your holiday shopping, pay close attention to that ubiquitous Salvation Army red kettle for a musical surprise: Texas country music singer Cory Morrow will be there jamming to help solicit donations.

Morrow is the latest musician to team up with the Salvation Army Musicians at the Red Kettles Campaign to help coax us to give to a very worthy cause. An Advisory Board member for The Salvation Army Austin, Morrow is a passionate supporter of the work The Salvation Army is doing in the community, officials said. Of particular interest to the singer/songwriter is the altruistic work being done on behalf of the many families experiencing poverty and homelessness.

Last year, 73 percent of those sheltered by The Salvation Army in Austin were women and children. Morrow is lending his musical talents to help solve this crisis of family homelessness, Salvation Army officials said.

Morrow will be singing next to the Salvation Army Red Kettle situated in The Domain courtyard next to Starbucks from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 22.

If you go, pay attention to the beat of your heart and plop some change in the red kettle!
