Suspected Human Remains Found in Northwest Austin

A set of remains found in Northwest Austin could be human.

Austin Police are investigating the origin of a set of remains found Tuesday afternoon on the 9900 block of Lake Creek Parkway, police said. The police were responding to a call from a person who claimed to find human remains.

The investigators do believe the remains are human, but cannot confirm until a medical examiner inspects them.

The remains have been sent to the examiner and police are awaiting the results, police said.
