New Dog Park Opens In Pflugerville

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — For furry residents, the dog days of summer just got a little easier.

Human residents arrived with their canine companions on Saturday for the grand opening of the Spring Hill Dog Park. Located behind the Stone Hill Shopping Center, 1124 Town Center Dr., the new doggie recreation area features separate areas for small and large dogs to roam and meet their furry neighbors. The first 50 who attended the grand opening received free snow cones during the ceremony that occurred from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The dog park is within an existing 9-acre recreation area that features three pavilions and a playground. Parks officials are exploring other amenities to add to the area, according to the video below:
