- On Friday, Feb. 11, a ground-breaking ceremony was held for the Travis County ESD No. 2 Station 6 located at 1722 Weiss Lane. - A new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will open in Pflugerville on Monday, Feb. 14 at Heritage Park, located at 901 Old Austin Hutto Road. The place will open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The venue is made possible "through the cooperation between Austin Public Health, the City of Pflugerville and Spartan Medical" and test results "are provided by Spartan Medical." COVID-19 tests are free of charge and insurance is not required. "To register, visit the website and register as a new patient" and "when prompted, enter APFLGVHP as the office location code." - Police are still searching for Luis Angel Montes, 35, who is charged with murdering Camerina Trujillo Perez, 38, from Pflugerville. Although they were last seen on Monday, Jan. 24, the family didn't report them missing until Tuesday, Jan. 25. If you have any information on the case or know anything on Montes' whereabouts, please contact the Travis County Sheriff's Office at 512-854-1444 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS (8477).
