"During this phase, the intersection of Town Center Drive and Pfluger Farm Lane will be completely shut down" and "thru traffic in the area will be limited." The project "is funded by Lifestyle Communities and estimated to be complete in mid-May." For more details on the project and local areas affected, please visit: (Austin American-Statesman)
  3. Art lovers will enjoy The Erica Lange Art Show, which began on Saturday, Jan. 8 and is scheduled to continue until Thursday, Feb. 10. 4. After last week's first fatality crash in Austin, when "41-year-old Cesar Ramirez-Hernandez, a maintenance worker, was working off North Mopac when he was hit and killed by a driver" and "a 3 year old was also killed," AAA wants to remind drivers of the importance of the 'Move Over' law." That law states that "drivers must move over a lane when crews are on the shoulder of the road or if they can't reduce speed by 20 miles per hour." Daniel Armburster from AAA said, "If people would follow the "Move Over Slow Down" law we could decrease that number and save lives." Violating the law can lead to hefty fines and can cause fatalities, so AAA hopes that "drivers will keep this in mind the next time they get behind the wheel."
