North Austin Apartment Fire Displaces 8 Occupants

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A North Austin apartment fire early Thursday displaced eight residents, fire officials confirmed.

The blaze was reported around midnight Thursday at an apartment complex located at 11511 Metric Blvd., near West Braker Lane, Austin Fire Department spokeswoman Michelle Tanzola confirmed to Patch via email. A Google search of the address shows a location for the Trails of Walnut Creek apartment complex.

A total of three units were affected by the fire, and at least one resident had to be treated for smoke inhalataion, Tanzola said. The spokeswoman said no estimate has been placed in terms of the property loss.
