North Austin Bank Branch Robbed For At Least The Third Time In As Many Years

Frost Bank branch at 111 E. Anderson Lane was robbed shortly after 3 p.m., and a suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX -- A Frost Bank branch at East Anderson Lane was robbed on Wednesday, police said.

Police said a man entered the bank at 111 E. Anderson Lane shortly after 3 p.m.. As he met encountered the teller, he handed over a note while demanding money and saying he had a weapon. The suspect then fled on foot, last seen heading west.

The suspect was described as Hispanic man of slim build wearing a blue baseball cap, a matching color plaid, long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. He also donned sunglasses during the heist, according to police. He is believed to be in his early to mid-20s standing at about 5' 6".

The same branch reportedly has been robbed at least twice since 2013, the last time occurring in May.
