North Austin Domestic Disturbance Leads To Stabbing
Police called to apartment complex along 12100 block of Walnut Creek Crossing found man stabbed; woman taken into custody.
NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A woman is in custody after a stabbing incident sparked by a domestic disturbance in North Austin on Tuesday.
Police responded to an apartment complex along the 12000 block of Walnut Creek Crossing at around 2:35 p.m. amid reports of a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman, police said. A SWAT team was dispatched to the scene, a tactic typically employed when occupants inside a residence fail to comply with police too cooperate in their investigation.
Once gaining entry into the home, police found a man suffering from stab wounds. The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, but police did not detail the severity of his wounds. The woman in the unit also was medically evaluated before being taken into custody.

A police officer briefing reporters near the crime scene said charges are pending. At the very least, tThe unidentified woman faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the officer suggested.
