North Austin Fire Sparked By Improperly Disposed Cigarette Displaces Two Residents
The fire along the 1300 block of Larkspur caused $110,000 in total damage, according to fire department officials.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Two people were displaced from their home after a fire that was sparked by an improperly discarded cigarette on Friday.
Firefighters responded to the fire along the 1300 block of Larkspur Rd. at around 3 p.m., the Austin American Statesman reported. The two adults who live there were not at home at the time of the fire, but two dogs inside the dwelling were rescued by firefighters, according to the report.
The fire caused about $100,000 in structure damage and another $10,000 damage to the contents within, according the Austin Fire Department officials.
