North Austin Gunshots Lead To Apartment Building Lock-Down
Reports of gunfire originating from the Camden Amber Oaks Apartments at 9001 Amberglen Blvd. yielded no suspect.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Gunshots reported from a North Austin apartment complex prompted police to put the place under lock-down mode as a precaution Sunday evening.
Police responded to the Camden Amber Oaks Apartments at 9001 Amberglen Blvd. at West Parmer Lane just after 4 p.m. after a report of gunshots being fired, Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted.
Residents were urged to stay indoors while a search for an active shooter took place, and entry into the complex was blocked as the manhunt ensued.

But after an hour-long search for a shooter, no suspect was found. By around 5:30 p.m. Williamson County deputies started to clear out after a futile search aided by members of the Austin Police Department, as Chody tweeted.
“Was a reported active shooter with nothing located after law enforcement searched entire complex,” Chody tweeted in replying to APD Chief Brian Manley.
