North Austin Roundabout To Be Unveiled

Transportation officials have scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the traffic-calming device on Wednesday, June 27.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Transportation officials are scheduled to unveil a new roundabout in North Austin on Wednesday.

The 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony revealing the traffic-calming device located at Interstate 35 at 51st Street is scheduled on June 27. The device is located in a newly constructed cul-de-sac on the southbound frontage road at 51st Street.

Among the dignitaries expected to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be Texas Transportation Commission Chairman J. Bruce Bugg, Jr., State Sen. Kirk Watson, State Rep. Celia Israel, and Austin City Council Member Ora Houston
