Police ID Victim Of Fatal East Austin Shooting (Updated)
Alexander Morgan Jr., 22, sustained critical injuries at Rare Apartments shooting last week before dying of his injuries three days later.
AUSTIN, TX — Police on Monday identified the man who was shot dead at an East Austin apartment complex last week.
The incident occurred on Thursday, July 18, at around 11:15 p.m. at the Rare Apartments on 6407 Springdale Rd. There, police found Alexander Morgan Jr., 22, suffering from gunshot wounds before he was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition. By Sunday, July 21, Morgan succumbed to his injuries after being declared brain dead just after 1:30 p.m., police said.
No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate. AUSTIN, TX — Police responded to the northeast part of the city early Friday after a report of a shooting, officials said.

The incident occurred along the 6407 Springdale Rd. just after midnight. In a tweet, police said a person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The age and gender of the victim were not released.
The address corresponds to the RARE Apartments, formerly known as the Tierra Bella Apartments.
No further details were provided, including whether any arrest had been made. Patch will update when more information is known.
