Pecan Street Construction To Cause 'Significant' Traffic Congestion In Pflugerville
Motorists are urged to avoid the area entirely and take alternate routes while construction continues through Thursday.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- State construction crews work on Pecan Street improvements starting Monday evening will cause considerable traffic congestion, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area altogether.
The Texas Department of Transportation will perform work overnight on FM 1825/Pecan Street starting at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 20. Work will stop at 6 a.m. the next day through Thursday June 23, officials said.
Assistant City Manager Tom Word said drivers will encounter "significant" traffic congestion in the early evening hours as a result: "We advise residents to avoid the area, if possible," he said.

Motorists will find traffic reduced to a one-lane road during the overnight hours of construction. Paving and guardrail adjustments will be performed concurrently.
The road work begins at 10th Street east to FM 685/Dessau Road. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and look out for street crews while driving through the construction area.
