Pedestrian Dies Trying To Cross Interstate 35 When Hit By Several Vehicles
The woman in her 40s is the third pedestrian to die after being hit by traffic since last Wednesday.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by several vehicles as she attempted to cross Interstate 35 southbound, emergency officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS officials were called to the 6100 block of North I-35 southbound after receiving a report of a person having been struck. Upon arrival, medics found a woman in her 40s dead at the scene.
The death marked the third fatal pedestrian-involved incident since last Wednesday.

A week ago, another pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross along the 5500 block of I-35, also in North Austin. People who work in the area said it was common to see people darting across the highway to get across, something attributed to people headed to and from the many hotels in the area.
