Pedestrian Struck, Killed Along Interstate 35
Incident along 9500 block of highway occurred during morning rush hour, prompting hours-long closure of roadway as police investigated.

NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by an 18-wheeler in North Austin on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The incident occurred at 6:30 a.m. along the 9500 block of North Interstate 35. A wide swath of roadway — all southbound lanes of I-35, south of Rundberg Lane near Braker Lane — was closed to traffic for about three hours in the aftermath of the collision to accommodate a police investigation. The area has since been reopened to traffic.
