Person Hospitalized After Being Struck By Train In North Austin

Medics reported on the incident just after 2 p.m. on Thursday, saying the adult patient was struck at E. 51st Street and Airport Boulevard.

AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries after being struck by a train in North Austin, officials confirmed on Thursday.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported on the incident at the intersection of East 51st Street and Airport Boulevard just after 2 p.m. The age and gender of the adult patient was not disclosed.

The injured person was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with injuries categorized as serious and potentially life-threatening, according to medics.
