Pflugerville's Got Pfireworks Thanks To Typhoon Texas

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Typhoon Texas will stage its Pfirecracker Pfestival in partnership with the city this year, and residents are invited to view them from a distance given the need for social distancing amid the coronavirus.

The ongoing spread of the coronavirus has prompted multiple cancellations of Independence Day pyrotechnics, but Typhoon Texas is scheduled to offer a celestial show on Saturday evening. Two hours before the show, the Pflugerville Police Department alerted to the event while instructing spectators to remain in their vehicles if watching from are parking lots.

The city previously offered a list of sites from where to watch the fireworks:

• Hendrickson High School (19201 Colorado Sand Dr.)
• Stone Hill Town Center (500 Limestone Commercial Dr.)
• Costco (1901 Kelly Lane)

Residents also can tune in to iHeartRadio stations 96.7 KISS FM or 102.3 The Beat. The fireworks show will also be streamed live on the City of Pflugerville Facebook Page (@PflugervilleTX). "Together we can enjoy this Independence Day tradition in a new way," city officials wrote on the municipal website.
