Pflugerville Bodies By Design Donations Made It Possible For Two Families To Celebrate Christmas

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Operators of a local fitness center continued their tradition of helping the needy this holiday season, collecting $2,500 for two families.

The Austin American-Statesman profiled the generosity of those working at Bodies By Design Personal Training, 15635 Vision Dr., who donated $2,500 benefiting two families in need. All told, $1,500 in cash, $600 in HEB grocery gift cards and more than $400 worth of gifts were raised for the families chosen via a raffle.

Among the gifts were two guitars, a laptop computer, a Bluetooth headset and gift baskets, the Statesman reported.

One team member described the reaction a child had in receiving a guitar, as he started crying. She told the newspaper his emotional reaction caused everyone else to cry as well. The donations provided clothing, kitchen items, toys and other things they wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise.
