Pflugerville Budget Aims To Raise 7 Percent More Property Taxes
Residents will have an opportunity to discuss the proposed budget to raise an additiona. $2.1 million, some $1.3 million from new property.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Residents next month will have a chance to discuss the proposed Pflugerville budget that aims to raise nearly 7 percent more total property taxes than last year.
According to a municipal advisory, the planned budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $2,139,723 or 6.9 percent. Of that amount, $1,357,979 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year, officials added.
Ahead of approval, the city will stage a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2020 – 2021 Proposed Budget on Tuesday, Aug. 11, by video/telephone conference. The agenda for the public hearing will be posted 72 hours prior to the public hearing on the Pflugerville calendar page, officials noted.

Public comment will only be allowed via telephone/video conference at the regular meeting scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. All speakers must register to speak at least two hours in advance of the regular meeting. Speakers must call in at least 15 minutes prior to the meeting start in order to speak. Written comments may also be submitted two hours in advance of the meeting.
To register to speak or to submit written comments, email citysecretary@pflugervilletx.gov at least two hours in advance of the regular meeting. The meeting will be available live for viewing on PfTV on the City of Pflugervillewebsite.
